OUR INTENTIONS

We are dedicated to actively strengthening our commitment to the planet by adopting materials, processes, and practices that are more sustainable and environmentally responsible.

STEPS FORWARD

Our aim is to reduce the environmental impact of our products by promoting a more sustainable product lifecycle. To support this, we are working to incorporate recyclable materials throughout our footwear, from the outsole to the hangtag.

MATERIALS

100%  Sustainable packaging certification materials.  Soy Based Inks Recycled Paper. Recycled cotton, recycled polyester, thermoplastic rubber (TPR) and recycled paper are some examples of what we envision when creating a sustainable shoe.

Ground Up is a proud partner of Soles4Souls, donating footwear to help families and children feel more confident and supported. Through this partnership, we’re able to give new life to unused product and samples, keeping them out of landfills and putting them in the hands of those who need them most.

PACKAGING

We’ve redesigned our shoe packaging using 80% post-consumer recycled cardboard, creating a box that not only protects your shoes but also doubles as a stylish keepsake for Ground Up customers.

We work closely with our factories to create a positive impact on both their workers and the surrounding communities. Our key manufacturing partners uphold the highest standards, earning top-tier ratings from leading global brands. We maintain ongoing dialogue with our factories to explore ways to minimize our carbon footprint and operate more sustainably.
